Australians’ knowledge of alcohol and cancer

Alcohol causes at least seven types of cancer, and was estimated to cause 4% of all new cancers in Australia in 2020.

We asked 2,000 Australian adults about their knowledge around alcohol and cancer. The nationally representative sample was surveyed online in September 2023.
